Windows 7 and the DryLab Plus - Instructions.

There are 6 versions of Windows 7 as follows:

Windows 7 comes as a 32 bit OS or a 64 bit OS.

These two types are each broken down into Win 7 Home, Win 7 Professional, and Win 7 Ultimate.

Instructions for 32 bit versions:

Windows 7 Home, Windows 7 Pro, Windows 7 Ultimate

Install the software from the CD/DVD. You must agree to changes being made to your computer if asked.
After installation, right click the program icon (eg. The Fetal Pig v3.98) and select "Properties".
Click the "Compatibility" tab.
Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP3."
Most features will run in this mode. If you want certain teacher oriented features to run you will need to also select "Run this program as an administrator."
Microsoft did not include the codec that is used to play the videos. You will need to download and install the file iv5setup.exe in order to play the videos.

Instructions for 64 bit versions:

Windows 7 Home

The DryLab Plus will not run under Windows 7 Home 64 bit version. You received the 32 bit version when you purchased Windows 7 under which the DryLab Plus will run.

Windows 7 Pro, Windows 7 Ultimate

You will need to download and install Windows XP mode, a free download from Microsoft.

Install the software from the CD/DVD and run the program normally."

Microsoft did not include the codec that is used to play the videos. You will need to download and install the file iv5setup.exe in order to play the videos.
